Obituary of Ralph Edwin Johnson

In his 68th year, passed away peacefully at Victoria Hospital with his loving family at his side on Sunday, February 2nd, 2014. Predeceased by grandson Brandon (2007), father John (1993) and mother Grace (2012). Survived by loving wife, travel and dance partner, Irene, of 45 years. Proud father, best friend and ‘Superman’ to Matt and Suzan. Adored by grandsons Brahm and Cole. Sadly missed by his extended family members and brother Robert (Claire). Ralph, being a genuine gentleman, touched many lives through his work, volunteer association with Aylmer Ducks Unlimited, travel, men’s league hockey and in day-to-day life. He saw the good in everyone. He was the Grandpa that could, and did, fix anything for his grandsons! Ralph took great pleasure in riding his Harley Davidson Nightrain through the countryside. Family and friends will be received for visitation on Wednesday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, February 6th, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ralph’s memory may be made to the Lymphoma Association of Canada or a charity of your choice.
