Obituary of Hector Allan MacKenzie

Hector passed suddenly January 18th, 2014 at London’s University Hospital. He was in his 94th year. Predeceased by his loving wife Mary (MacRae) in 2004. Born in Fort William (Thunder Bay), and recent London resident leaving Walkerton, which was home for him for many years. Hector was an Ontario Hydro retiree, and WWII Navy Veteran. He loved to travel and was able to enjoy many years of cruising around our world with his wife in their retirement years. Loving father of Laurie (Norm) Wright of London, Bonnie Allan of Toronto, Gifford (Gail) MacKenzie of Solina, Linda (Mike) Wells of London. Grandfather of Christopher (Sinead) MacKenzie, Kyle (Lindsay) MacKenzie, and Michael Wells, and great grandfather of Maeve and Evan MacKenzie. Also left behind are many friends he had made residing in London at both Chelsey Park and Amica. The family would like to thank those who have helped make Dad feel welcome here. Hector will be sadly missed by his family and friends. The memorial service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Saturday, January 25th, 2014 at 3:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior.
