Obituary of Girolamo Fonseca

FONSECA: Girolamo “Gerry” April 23, 1923 – December 17, 2013 Peacefully, Gerry passed away at Victoria Hospital on Tuesday, December 17th, 2013. He is survived by his loving wife Giulia of 59 years; three children Vito (Angela), Anthony (Tammy) Fonseca and Maria (Claudio) Elia; along with his nine grandchildren Anthony (Laura), Nancy, Robert, Brandon, Alexandria, Natalie, Marco, Andrew and Grace and his three great-grandchildren Emma, Brielle and Bentley. He is predeceased by his sister earlier this year Carmela DeLucia (Antonio) of London. Dear brother of Rosa (Francesco) and Antonio (Giustina) of Italy. Gerry, a war veteran, sought a new life in Canada, immigrating from Italy in 1951 with Giulia joining him in 1954 to start their life together. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, where the funeral service will be conducted on Friday, December 20th, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made in lieu of flowers to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
