McGEOUGH, Dr. Vincent Lawrence – Peacefully, surrounded by his family, at University Hospital on Tuesday, October 22nd, 2013 in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Carole for 55 years. Loving father of Lynn Jeffs (Alan) of Pickering, Joe (Alanna) of Ottawa, John (Karen) of Brockville, Jim of L’Arche London, Colleen of London, and Kathryn of Seattle, Washington. Dear grandfather of Kelly, Carolyn, David, Jeanette, Jared, Shaun, Joshua, Eve and Christian. Lovingly remembered by his sister Eileen, his brothers William, Gerald and John, his extended family, and many friends. Vincent served in the Navy during World War II. He graduated from the University of Ottawa Medical School in 1955 and established a general practice in Goderich for 10 years. He then moved to practice Occupational Medicine with CN Rail and Air Canada in Toronto. Vincent retired to London in 1987. He designed and built a retirement house in Grand Bend, where he enjoyed telling stories about his past. Together he and Carole saw many parts of the world on numerous vacations and cruises. Time spent with his wife, children and grandchildren was always cherished. Visitation will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Thursday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. with prayers at 6:45 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. George Parish, 1164 Commissioners Road West, London, on Friday, October 25th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation with private family interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
