Obituary of Jim Wilson

Peacefully, at University Hospital, on Sunday, February 3rd, 2013, with family by his side, Jim Wilson, of London, in his 76th year. Beloved husband, for 48 years, of Lorna. Loved father of Tom Wilson (Rebekah Du) and Carolyn Wilson (John Potwarka). Cherished Papa of Christian, Madeleine, Abigail and Jack. Dear brother of Bill (Nan), Tommy (Prema), Ian (Cathy), Mary (Norm) Ritson, Grace Smith, Eric, and Jessie (Gordon) Davis, and brother-in-law of Rosalie Torvi. Fondly remembered and sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. Born in the little town of Bellshill, Scotland, Jim immigrated to Canada in 1953. Jim was a State Farm Agent for 36 years, dedicated to his clients’ needs, with attention to detail and much humour. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, where the funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, February 10th, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Donations in Jim’s memory to the London Food Bank or The Salvation Army - Centre of Hope would be greatly appreciated.
